At What’s New Johnny the unique one-of-a-kind wind chimes and bottle candles have been created using up-cycled wine, liquor, and special glass bottles.

The finished glass Wind Chime and Bottle Candle are made using generic wine bottles. They are easy to work with and readily available.
A Red Oak knocker provides that pleasing wind chime sound.
The bottle is suspended by a stainless steel rope and includes hand-drilled glass drops as beads and glass & stainless steel spacers to give it that incredible appearance.
The Wind Catcher consists of 2 glass mirrors glued back to back and then holes drilled with a diamond drill. The sandblasted design is grapes, grape leaves. The Wind Catcher has a pleasing eye-catching action even in the very light breeze.
Use your favorite bottle and stencil design. A large selection is available on Etsy, Amazon, your favorite hobby store, etc. You can make your own unique design with a Silhouette Cameo. I use the Silhouette Cameo machine to cut iImagine’s Permanent Vinyl into the required sandblasting mask. It’s easy to apply and remove when done.
The rest of the bottle is wrapped with vinyl electrical tape to protect it from sandblasting.
I use our New Glass Bottle Cutting and Sanding machine to cut & sand my bottles or you can score & separate with our Scoring Machine and sand smooth with our Sanding Machine.
Sandblast your design with our Sandblasting Machine using vinyl masks cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I use a professional sand blaster from Harbor Freight. Glass Bead Link
Note: Any of the Chime Bottles can also be used as a Bottle Candle by using an Air-Flow Base.
