At What’s New Johnny the unique one-of-a-kind wind chimes and bottle candles have been created using up-cycled wine, liquor, and special glass bottles. Our saying is: ‘If you’re going to make it, make it nice’
The finished Glass Wind Chime and Bottle Candle are made using a Tequila Bottle.
A Red Oak hardwood knocker provides that pleasing wind chime sound. The bottle is suspended by a 3 strand stainless steel rope and includes our new hand-drilled Glass Beads and glass & stainless steel spacers to give it that incredible appearance. The wind catcher consists of 2 glass mirrors glued back to back, a hole drilled with a diamond drill then sandblasted with a butterfly design. The wind catcher has a pleasing eye-catching action even in a very light breeze. Use your favorite bottle and stencil design. A large selection is available on Etsy etc. You can make your own unique design with a Silhouette Cameo to cut iImagine’s Permanent Adhesive Vinyl into the required sandblasting mask for both the glass bottle and wind catcher. The vinyl masks are easy to apply and can be removed with warm water when done. The rest of the bottle is wrapped with vinyl electrical tape to protect it from sandblasting.
I use our New Glass Bottle Cutting and Sanding Machine to cut & sand my bottles or you can score & separate with our Scoring Machine and sand smooth with our Sanding Machine. Sandblast your design with our Sandblasting Machine using vinyl masks cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I use a professional sand blaster from Harbor Freight.
Note: Any of the Chime Bottles can also be used as a Bottle Candle by using an Air-Flow Base.
This is your chance to start your own business (for very little money), creating unique chimes, bottle candles, etc to sell at street fairs, on Pinterest, Etsy, Facebook, etc. Low cost and easy as pie!
